We are seeking a detail-oriented Data Analyst to support business intelligence, reporting, and operational decision-making for a US-based organization in the insurance industry. This permanent role is ideal for an analytical professional who enjoys working with structured data, applying statistical techniques, and delivering insights that drive measurable business outcomes.
You will collaborate with internal stakeholders to collect, analyze, and report on data that supports performance improvement, compliance, and strategic initiatives.
You will be employed on a permanent basis by Uboni SA (Pty) Ltd, who will manage all local payroll, tax, and regulatory requirements. You will perform services for a US-based client in the insurance industry.
This is a remote, work-from-home role.

This role aligns with US business hours. Typical working hours in South Africa are 18:00 – 02:00, however hours may shift by approximately one hour during the year due to US daylight saving time changes. Data Collection & Quality
Collect, query, validate, and cleanse data from multiple internal systems
Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across reports and databases
Coordinate structured data input and maintenance with a high degree of precision
Analysis & Reporting
Analyze datasets using statistical methods, data modeling, and basic predictive techniques to identify trends, patterns, anomalies, and actionable insights
Interpret and translate analytical findings into clear, business-focused recommendations
Produce executive, management, and departmental ad-hoc reports
Support regulatory, compliance, and performance reporting requirements
Manipulate, transform, and prepare data within defined timelines
Business Intelligence & Collaboration
Partner with internal stakeholders to define KPIs and reporting requirements
Develop quantitative reports that support operational and strategic decision-making
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, reporting efficiencies, and process enhancements
Technical & Administrative Support
Design, develop, and test queries and spreadsheet-based reporting tools
Maintain database and filing systems (digital and manual)
Assist with insurance-related data preparation and submissions
Handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion
Technical & Analytical
Strong proficiency in Excel and spreadsheet-based data analysis
Working knowledge of database structures and data workflows
Experience applying statistical analysis techniques, data modeling concepts, and trend interpretation to support business decisions
Exposure to tools such as Access, Power BI/Tableau, SQL, or statistical software is advantageous
