Our South African company, Uboni SA (Pty) Ltd. is currently in need of a Senior Microsoft Wizard to own the operations and security of our Microsoft stack. This is a full-time, permanent employment position (NOT contract work).
What You'll Be Doing:
M365 Administration: Oversee the configuration, management, and support of Microsoft 365 environments, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, Entra ID, Intune, and PowerShell.
User and License Management: Manage user accounts, licenses, and subscriptions in Microsoft 365 Admin Center.
Security Management: Implement robust security measures, including multi-factor authentication (MFA), data loss prevention (DLP), and conditional access policies.
Compliance and Governance: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and implement governance policies for Microsoft 365.
Backup and Disaster Recovery: Develop and execute backup strategies for data, test disaster recovery plans, and perform data restorations when needed.
Performance Monitoring and Optimization: Monitor the performance of all Microsoft services and infrastructure; identify bottlenecks and optimize configurations for peak performance.
Project Management: Lead and manage projects, ensuring timely delivery, within budget, and meeting project objectives.
What We’re Looking For:
Experience: At least 5 years of hands-on experience as a Microsoft Systems Engineer with current M365 Systems Administrator experience. You must have in-depth knowledge of legacy systems as well as the current M365 cloud infrastructure, management and security.
Expertise: Deep knowledge of Microsoft 365, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, and Azure, Entra ID, Intune, etc.
Security Skills: Strong grasp of IT security principles and best practices, specifically within the M365 ecosystem.
Compliance Knowledge: Experience with compliance frameworks and governance policies for Microsoft 365.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
Problem-Solver: A proactive problem-solver with stellar analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
Project Management: Proven ability to lead and manage projects effectively, from inception to completion.
Advanced MS Certifications: Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator Expert
